Things I seem to see way more of in Chester County now than when I was a kid:
- rainbows
- cardinals
- Democrats
- drivers
- houses
- vitriol
- tailgating
- hot air balloons
- deer
Things I see a lot less of:
- Box turtles
- open space
- rust on cars

What a coincidence that you mentioned box turtles the day before I posted photos from our trip to Tennessee where we were all so excited to see a box turtle that 6 of us got out of the car and clustered around it and took photos of it like it was the Abominable Snowman! Used to be nearly every drive up our Chester County dirt road included a pause for a box turtle. And I like your other observations above too. I also see less of pheasants. And wooly caterpillars. And chipmunks. And dirt roads.
